Hobson Bay Sport and Recreation Strategic Plan Sports Club Survey
Hobsons Bay City Council is underway with an exciting project, developing a Sport and Recreation Strategic Plan for the municipality. This is a major project for the Council that will guide the direction and development of sport and recreation facilities, services and programs. Hobsons Bay City Council has engaged CPG Australia to assist them prepare the strategy.
Separate, but related to this project, Council is also looking at the future provision of synthetic sports surfaces across a range of different sports and facilities. The focus of the study is to understand the potential need for synthetic surfaces across Hobson Bay, the types of use they may recieve and potential financial, environmental and participation impacts they could create or provide. A range of questions specific to synthetic sports surfaces is provided in the Your Club Space section of this survey.
Opportunities to participate in sport and recreation are key ingredients to a healthy, connected and fulfilling lifestyle. It provides an opportunity for people to be physically active, strengthen connections with others and to engage in community life. Whether you are enjoying a walk along our magnificent foreshore, are part of a local sporting club or just visiting your local playground; the planning, resourcing and development of sport and recreation is a major area of focus for the Council.
You're the expert! This survey has been sent to you (and other clubs) to help us get a better understanding about how to enhance sport and recreation services and facilities across the City. You're the expert in this area and we want to hear from you!

You will note that there are some details that are requested in the survey that your club may regularly provide to Council or that Council already knows. An example includes membership details or home ground. We ask that you still complete these questions so that we can better analyse survey results as a whole.
