The Supreme Court Committee on Justice for Children honors one child welfare attorney and one DFCS case manager each year for dedicated service on behalf of children and families. Hines Award recipients are recognized at the State Bar of Georgia's Annual Meeting in June.

The Hines Award celebrates an individual's personal achievement and commitment to service and excellence in child welfare. It is not given to groups of people, organizations, or posthumously. Previous nominees who were not selected may be renominated.

The deadline for nominations is February 28, 2025.
