Background and Introduction

The Town of Hillsborough has embarked on a planning process with a timeframe of about a year and a half to prepare a comprehensive sustainability plan. The plan will align the town's current comprehensive plan with the town’s clean energy resolution goals of building a more resilient, environmentally sustainable town. The plan will establish a framework for achieving the community’s vision for growth and development while establishing feasible steps to meet the town’s renewable energy goals. This comprehensive planning effort will be used to create a healthier, more vibrant, economically competitive and resilient community. Implementation will be an ongoing effort for years to come, with emphasis on key priorities, budget and other efficiencies, and continued input from the community.

The town is planning for a public engagement process in which residents, business owners, and other local stakeholders will help shape the plan. Please take a moment to answer the following questions based on the current conditions of Hillsborough and your desired future for the town.
