Improving the health and wellbeing of people in a safe, caring and respectful way remains the core purpose of Scotland's health and social care services. Achieving this requires new ways of providing services and systems, and a renewed focus on how best to support people to live well in their communities.

The Scottish Government is inviting you to have your say on what health and social care services should look like in 10-15 years from now. They want to discuss how people in Scotland can be supported to be as healthy as they can be, as individuals and also our families and communities.

To do this the government have launched a national conversation on health and social care with the first part looking at issues that really matter to you.

NHS Highland is keen that you help shape the future by taking part and make sure we here in Highland have a strong voice.

We have some particular challenges around remote and rural issues and how best to sustain services going into the future. In partnership with communities and staff we have already done a lot of redesign of services and we will continue this. While some of the problems we face need to be better understood we need to understand what matters to you and the people of Highland.

If you would like to have a personal conversation or a senior member of NHS Highland come and speak to your community or group, please contact Head of PR and Engagement Maimie Thompson email: maimie.thompson@nhs.net or phone: 01463 704722
