Creating a community that everyone can access is important to us.

The City of Hastings is asking for your help to identify popular pedestrian destinations and the barriers that prevent those with disabilities from getting there. This could include sidewalk issues, street curb concerns, lack of safe pedestrian crossings, etc. The current Universal Mobility Study will utilize your input as well as data gathered in the field to prioritize areas to meet the needs of the community. Scoring would be based on pedestrian usage, physical condition of the sidewalk, and identification of any physical barriers. The study will result in a phased construction guide to improve mobility across Hastings.
