We have no discount agreements or company loyalty programs in place.

* 2. How much time do your employees spend booking travel?

Travelers and/or travel coordinators are on their own to find the best travel option and often that research is time-consuming.

We ask our employees to use a corporate booking tool but it is slow, clunky or difficult. Employees are regularly booking outside of this tool.

We’ve got a great solution for booking travel that the whole organization uses. It allows our team members to book any option from any supplier within minutes, automatically applying the right loyalty numbers, preferences, and forms of payment, depending on who the traveler is.

* 3. To control costs, do you have a company travel policy, and do you know that your travelers are following it?

We do not have a travel policy. We leave it to our travelers to book whatever they want.

We have guidelines to inform travelers of what they are and are not allowed to book, but we don’t have a way to enforce those policies.

We are able to alert travelers at the time of booking if they are choosing an out of policy option. If they need to book that option for any reason, they can explain why and request an approval to do so.

* 4. Are you able to keep track of your travelers’ unused airline tickets to ensure that they don’t go to waste?

We have no way to track which credits for unused airline tickets are redeemed, so we don’t know what percentage are being used or lost.

We are able to track some but not all of our unused airline credits, so we have some visibility into how many of them are being used.

We can see a real-time report of unused ticket credits throughout the organization, and track the amounts and percentage that get used.

* 5. In an emergency, are you able to determine where all your travelers are in real-time?

At a given moment, we have no easy way to see where all of our travelers are.

We are able to run a “Where Are Our Travelers” report but the data is often incomplete or not current.

We can easily and accurately see where our travelers are at any moment in time, or where they will be at a point in the future.
