EIANZ has five grants available to support students to attend our upcoming Annual Conference in Melbourne.

Applicants can apply from any region across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The travel grant can be used to cover any combination of travel costs, conference tickets, conference events, accommodation, meals and non-alcoholic drinks, to the value of $1200 (AUD) per recipient. Recipients will be required to produce all receipts related to their expenditures for reimbursement up to the maximum amount.

Applicants for the Annual Conference Travel Grant must meet the following eligibility criteria:

● Must be an EIANZ student member.

Applications are required to submit:

● An up-to-date LinkedIn profile URL or CV
● A completed application form including a statement on what they hope to gain from the conference and why they are applying for this grant.

Conference requirements:
Successful applicants will be required to create a brief piece of content for EIANZ reflecting on the conference from the perspective of a student entering the environmental profession. This may take the form of a written reflection on what they learnt, a short interview with another member about their work, social media content to be shared during the conference, or a short article for the Insider highlighting their key takeaways. Content may be created individually or in collaboration with other grant recipients.
Successful applicants will also be expected to attend an event hosted by their local Student and Early Career (SEC) Committee if requested.
