We are compiling a comprehensive list of film and television screenwriting credits in Aotearoa New Zealand over the period - 1976-2026.
This research is part of the 50th Anniversary of the
New Zealand Writers Guild.
We have made a start, but we know there are projects and credits missing or wrongly attributed. Whether you have a credit for being a writer, script editor, storyliner or any other writing role on a NZ production, we want to know and we want to get it right.

Survey Scope (projects and credits that can be included):
- Writer is a resident and/or citizen of Aotearoa
- Project is funded through a New Zealand funding body or with private New Zealand equity.
- Project can be co-produced from New Zealand with another country
- Project can be any film or television format (short-film, documentary, feature film, television episode etc.)
Being listed on this database does not create or alter any contractual entitlements.
This is a big job and if there are omissions or errors it is our mission to make it right.
