As part of our initiative to green the Heights, we would like to know what you would like to see in your neighborhood farmers market.

Farms in the City Heights grew from the Jersey City Farms in the City event held last year. We are a group of residents that are committed to greening the Heights and building community. Monthly meetings are held to discuss various initiatives; including starting a Heights Farmers Market at which farmers and other vendors could sell their goods and community members can take part in educational programming. We are very excited about the possibilities and hope you are too. Please take a few moments and tell us what you would like to see at your neighborhood farmers market.

* 1. Did you know that there are six different types of vegetables? Of these 6 types (listed below) which would you like to have at the Heights Farmers Market?

* 2. What other types of food or goods would you be interested in?

* 3. How much do you spend on produce weekly?

* 4. How many people do you buy food for?

* 5. In an effort to support and build community, we would like to include homemade products and wares, exhibits by local artists and performances by nearby musician. This opportunity is open to all and we see this as a great way to share expertise with your neighbors.

* 6. Would you be interested in attending educational programs focused on healthy food and wellness?

* 7. Would you like to be part of a community garden? Were looking for space to start a community garden. Let us know if you are interested so we can be sure to keep you informed of our progress.
