TSI Study Goals

The TSI study’s overarching goal is to reduce flooding. Supporting goals include:

Using enhanced hydrology and hydraulics data to identify locations for drainage or flood control structures

Identifying strategies and planning-level designs that integrate transportation, stormwater, and environmental factors

Developing technical tools such as GIS-based interactive maps to help communities implement TSI

Encouraging higher floodplain management standards

Identifying funding sources for projects that reduce flooding
