The Grafton School Committee is seeking input from parents as they finalize the school calendar for 2010-2011. Your input on the following questions would be greatly appreciated.

* 2. The District has traditionally scheduled a full day for parent conferences after the first report card is issued. In November 2010, a conference day is scheduled for grades 6-12 and a full day in-service is scheduled for grades PreK-5 on the same day. Students DO NOT attend school.

For SY 10-11 Veteran's Day (November 11th) falls on a Thursday. All schools are closed on that day. Which of the following options would you prefer?

Conference day November 12, 2010.

* 3. The District schedules a full day for conferences (no school for students) and an additional evening conference block. Please provide input on the following options.

I would prefer having both day and evening conferences available - keep it as it is.

One evening for conferences would be sufficient to meet my needs.

* 4. The following question is for parents of students in grades PreK-5.

The 2009-2010 school calendar included three (3) additional half days for students to provide commom planning time for teachers. The School Committee is attempting to evaluate this use of time.
