Poster Presentation Overview
Present a poster during NYSAFP Scientific Assembly, January 23 - deadline for submission December 11
The Scientific Assembly (“Winter Weekend”) is the premier event for family physicians in New York State. Attended by more than 225 family physicians, students, residents and other health care professionals. The poster presentation is a popular conference attraction where attendees can come to learn about current family medicine research and scholarly activities in our state. Presenters will have the opportunity to record a short video explaining their poster.
Purpose: To display and discuss an innovative educational, curricular, or clinical project pertinent to family medicine. Examples include:
· completed research
· research in progress
· curricular innovations (on any academic level)
· quality improvement projects
· clinical initiatives
· case reports
Poster abstracts will be reviewed and accepted by the Winter Weekend education sub-committee of based on:
· Value and relevance to family medicine
· Quality of research design, curricular intervention, or clinical intervention, and soundness of methodology & scientific content
· Demonstration of freedom from commercial bias and conflicts of interest
Three posters will be selected by the education sub-committee for awards.
