Hope Vale Council Community Survey

It should take no longer than 5 minutes and will help Council understand what community and economic development activities residents want for Hope Vale. The Our Township. Our Future. Hope Vale Shire Economic Development Strategy will be a key document used to improve community economy, and set up Hope Vale as a place for people to visit, live, work and enjoy. It follows on from the strong outcomes delivered from the 2014-2017 Economic Strategy.

The new strategy will provide a strategic planning framework to guide the growth of our township for the next three years and identify:

- the strengths of Hope Vale's economy
- ways to keep and attract businesses and jobs
- opportunities to increase visitors
- challenges impacting future growth
- priorities and action plans.

The strategy will also work towards achieving Council’s vision for the township which is “From dreaming to reality: through diversity and harmony to achieve a progressive, united, vibrant region and township.”

This survey is part of the community and stakeholder engagement phase of planning, happening from December 2017 to March 2018. Cairns-based consultants Working Visions is assisting Council with this planning.
