Sìdh C Art would like to put on a ’Carnival of Plants’ at various locations in Caithness in the Summer of 2026. This will consist of:
- Art workshops
- Music sessions
- An exhibition of artworks relating to nature
- A community initiative to encourage people to grow plants
- Looking at the benefits of plants and nature on mental health
- Working with health care professionals, existing organizations, link-workers and individuals to build strong and supportive creative communities
We would like to hold art and nature sessions in various locations across Caithness, and make sure people are able to get to them. We’d like to celebrate the groups who already support the community and provide training, art, or visitors to their spaces. We’d like this project to keep raising the profile of Caithness nationally while communicating the importance of ethical enjoyment of this landscape.
This letter is a sign of support for the proposed project Carnival of Plants by Sìdh C Art. This will only be shared with funding bodies as evidence of interest from the wider community for a proposed project and does not make commitments by either party beyond that.
