To increase access to high quality expanded learning experiences, The Opportunity Project is partnering with Youth At Heart and Tulsa Urban Debate League to continue the AfterOpp at both Nathan Hale and Will Rogers Junior High Schools beginning on Jan 22, 2019.

The AfterOpp will continue to bring diverse programs under one umbrella, as partners work to build integrated systems and share resources. This collaboration will result in recruiting youth, buildinga rich culture and climate through quality programs, and drive toward positive youth development outcomes.
 
This session of AfterOpp will run from January 22 through April 5, 2019. We are looking for additional partners who could provide 75-minute twice-weekly sessions; we can also discuss options for single -day programs or programming over a fewer number of weeks, combining it with other providers.  We do ask that all program providers be on-site for the two hours of the overall program on the days they are there, including gathering activities, meals, programming, and dismissal.  To help offset some of the costs for those who need it, a modest stipend is available for program providers; details appear later in this survey.

Participation in the pilot will require a $1 million professional liability insurance rider and taking part in:
   * a planning and professional development session (January 9 and 10 are tentative dates)
    * recruitment activities at the respective school(s) (dates TBD by site coordinators)
   * phone calls home to registered youth and families prior to the program launch
   * criminal background checks

Additional funds will be provided as follows:

* $100 per program for participating in the January 9 or 10 sessions; those providing programs at both schools will receive an additional $100 if more than one staffer participates;
* $100 for those who do not work at the host schools for taking part in two recruitment events at each of their respective school(s)
(Examples of single recruitment events, depending upon the school, are: presenting during a student assembly or recruitment event; classroom presentations with the site coordinator; outreach during lunch periods; etc.)
