About this Scholarship
Established to honor AOSW President, Kim Lawson, this up to $1,000 scholarship covers the cost of conference attendance for an AOSW member who has demonstrated commitment to the profession, including pursuing a PhD or DSW as part of your professional development. The scholarship is supported through generous donations of supporters, including our own members.
Scholarship Requirements: 
  • Applicant must be enrolled in a DSW or PhD program.
  • Must be an active member of AOSW. 
  • Preference given to an individual without institutional support.
  • Letters of support (minimum of two, no more than four) addressing criteria for the appropriate award from other social work professionals, co-workers, hospital administrators, or community agency representatives
