WAITLIST Application for Neighbor Island Travel Funding
2026 Nurse Practitioner Week Conference

If you are applying after August 19, 2026 at 9:00 am (HST), you will be added to our WAITLIST. If additional funding becomes available, waitlisted applicants will be awarded in the order you applied. Although travel reimbursement is not available at this time, there are a limited number of free conference registrations for Neighbor Island participants. If you are interested in a free conference registration, please email hscndata@hawaii.edu.

Because of the generous financial support from the Hawaii State Rural Health Association*, we are able to offer travel and registration support for a limited number of Neighbor Island attendees to our 2026 Nurse Practitioner Week Conference on November 13, 2026.

What Expenses Are Covered?
  • Up to $350 for roundtrip airfare from any Neighbor Island to Honolulu.
  • Up to $50 for ground transportation.
  • Event registration fees.
  • Travel funds will be disbursed at the conference. Awardees must pay all travel and registration expenses up front.
To Be Eligible for Travel Funding You Must:
  • Complete and submit this application by the deadline.
  • Be a resident of any Neighbor Island.
  • Be an NP licensed in Hawaii, a current NP student, or the recent graduate of an NP program who is not yet licensed.
  • Attend the conference.
Applications for Funding Will be Prioritized in the Following Order:
  • Presenters
  • All other applicants in the order in which fully complete applications were submitted until funding is exhausted.
Important Dates:
  • October 1, 2026: Application deadline unless all available funds are expended before that date.
  • 7 Days from Date of Notification: Respond to award email to accept funds AND register for the event. Awardees who do not email to accept funds and register within 7 days will forfeit their funds.
  • November 13, 2026: Conference date and date of check disbursement at the conference.
