Local 3005 Engineering and Scientific Unit Contract Renegotiation Member Survey

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey! It was created by Local 3005's Contracts & Negotiations Committee.

Your responses will help us to understand what to push for in the next bargaining session. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. If you have questions or concerns about the survey, please reach out to the 3005 Contracts & Negotiations Committee at paulbrown.local3005@gmail.com.

Here is some background information on contracts. Our members are covered by three contracts: (1) the economic contract, which covers our raises and pay, (2) the city contract, which contains personnel rules, and (3) unit contracts.

Unit contracts cover specific economic matters and working conditions for designated groups of workers called “bargaining units”. Each unit contract defines items unique to the titles in the unit. They cover wages and salaries of the titles in the unit, unique working conditions for titles in the unit, grievance procedures, and payments in addition to gross salary. TO reiterate, they do NOT cover raises, which are covered by the economic contract.

Note: this survey is intended for members of Local 3005 which include the following titles: Administrative Public Health Nurse, Architect, Chemist, City Research Scientist, Civil Engineer, Criminalist, Graphic Artist, Scientist in Radiological Health, Space Analyst, Supervisor of Mechanical Installations and Maintenance, Water Ecologist
