Submission Guidelines and Selection Criteria

Presenter Criteria
  1. The Primary Presenter must be a current IITAP member in good standing as an ASAT, CSAT, CCBRT, CSAT Supervisor, CPTT, CPTT Supervisor, PSAP, PSAP Supervisor, or CSAT/CPTT/CCBRT/PSAP Candidate.
  2. Presenters must be available to present at any time during the in-person Symposium, April 16–18, 2027. Consideration will be given to accommodate religious observances.
  3. The Primary Presenter will serve as the main point of contact and is responsible for communicating all acceptance, scheduling, and other Symposium information to each co-presenter.
  4. Non-IITAP members may participate as co-presenters during their scheduled presentation only. They may enter the Symposium presentation area for their assigned session but may not attend any other educational sessions, keynote presentations, or other IITAP Sponsored Symposium activities. They must leave the Symposium area after their presentation has concluded. The IITAP Symposium is a closed event for IITAP members only, and no exceptions will be made.
Presentation Selection Criteria

  1. Relevance of the presentation to the needs and current trends within the field of sex addiction treatment and IITAP’s task-based materials.
  2. Expertise and experience of the presenter(s) related to the proposed topic.
  3. Originality and applicability of the material to the IITAP community.
  4. Quality of the learning objectives and practical information attendees will gain.
  5. Topics may include diversity, ethics, addiction interaction, use of IITAP assessments, tasks, performables, and other relevant areas.
  6. Content should appeal to a diverse and broad spectrum of IITAP attendees.
  7. Applicants may submit more than one proposal if they have multiple presentation topics for consideration.

Event Information

The 2027 IITAP Symposium will be held live and in person at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona, from Friday, April 16, through Sunday, April 18, 2027. There will not be an online attendance or presentation option. All presenters must be physically present for their scheduled sessions and available to present at any time during the Symposium.



Presenter Timeline:

September 10, 2026: Call for presenter's proposal begins
January 1, 2027: Final day for presentation proposal submission
February 1, 2027: Projected Presenter Announcement
March 22, 2027: PowerPoint & Handout Deadline
