Gold Book Update: Cutting Edge Workshop

In preparation for the Gold Book Update Workshop at Cutting Edge, your responses to the following questions are requested. Your comments will help identify the key items to be addressed during the Workshop, and will contribute to modifications and additions to the Gold Book.

Your responses will be enhanced if you can provide project examples (unnamed is preferred) to illustrate your comments/answers.
1.What changes/additions/deletions would make the Gold Book better?
2.Are there any GBR-related issues you experienced on a recent project that should be addressed or considered in the update?
3.Are there any legal issues that you think should be clarified in the Gold Book update?
4.Are there any technical issues that you think should be clarified in the update?
5.If an encountered site condition is not mentioned in the GBR, is it a DSC? Why or why not?
6.Are there any reasons why the Geotechnical Data Report should not be included as a Contract Document? Any reasons why it should not be subordinate to the GBR?
7.Please provide examples of good and bad practice in GBR preparation or use in dispute resolution, and their implications.
8.Should a contractor be obligated to include pricing for the conditions depicted in the GBR?
9.Should a contractor be required to demonstrate that they relied on a baseline parameter in the preparation of its bid in order to win a DSC dispute? Why or why not?
10.Should a GBR for design-build delivery be a collaborative effort that includes bidder/contractor input? If yes, what would you consider to be a preferred approach?
