Battleford Arena Expansion Project Public Questionnaire Survey

The Town of Battleford is planning a 475 m² (5,100 ft²) expansion to the existing arena to better serve users, accommodate larger events, and improve overall functionality and comfort.

The proposed improvements include:
· Additional change rooms and a larger referee space to better support tournaments and regular use.
· Modifications to the current dressing rooms to increase the capacity of the lobby and improve spectator flow.
· Additional permanent washrooms, eliminating the need for portable facilities during events.
· Expanded storage areas for equipment and event supplies.
· Upgraded mechanical systems to enhance energy efficiency and improve ventilation.

The design allows for an estimated occupancy of 996 people for regular arena use, and up to 1,534 for events such as trade shows under current safety and building requirements.

The proposed arena expansion concept is based on feedback from Battleford Arena users, and user groups continue to be involved in the design process. Now, we’re also seeking input from the broader community.
