* 9. Gentrification: A process of neighborhood change that includes economic change in a historically disinvested neighborhood. When middle to high-income people, invest in property in Low-income communities/historically disinvested neighborhood to capitalize on lower property value. Gentrification process occurs in demographic change, education level, and racial makeup.   

Things to consider when thinking about Gentrification: Real Estate investment- flipping of properties for large profit and high-end development. (Rebuilding or renovation of houses and buildings.) Investment and Policy Decisions- The way investment and dis-investment pattern are taking place in communities in result to these condition. Including changes in land use and changes in the character of the neighborhood- dismissing the culture of the neighborhoods.
