The Ketchikan Gateway Borough is seeking feedback on improvements at Lund Street Playground per the 2023 Parks and Playgrounds Master Plan.
Your feedback will ensure that the playground's design components will meet the public's needs.
The current scope consists of expanding the playground footprint along the roadway through cut and fill, including an accessible parking stall on the roadway; building a new age 2-5-year old playground with rubber tile surfacing and accessible play equipment; constructing a new sheltered picnic area; providing a new slide to the lower playground area; and new stairs between the two levels.
Design included provisions for a ramp between the two tiers and an additional picnic area below, and these may be accomplished depending on available funding.
