Thank you for your interest and participation in the Public Use Plan for Honey Creek State Natural Area, a 2,800 acre Texas State Natural Area north of San Antonio near the border of Kendall and Comal counties. This state natural area represents a unique opportunity to celebrate and protect water resources, native landscapes, historic homesteads, while providing public access and supporting outdoor recreation for current and future generations.
The Honey Creek State Natural Area Public Use Plan will guide decisions related to recreational access, trail systems and design, and long-term resource protection.
The plan focuses on day use recreation, trails, visitor access, and the prioritization of conservation of Honey Creek, as part of a broader effort to protect sensitive landscapes, ease visitor pressures, and thoughtfully broaden access to the park’s geological, ecological, and cultural resources.
