Position Summary
We are looking for an Associate to support IPA’s Debt Capital Markets team in the origination and execution of debt capital markets transactions for Fortune 500 clients. They will also work closely with other groups within IPA’s strategic advisory, equity capital markets, and investor relations teams.
Responsibilities
Develop and apply comprehensive knowledge of the financial markets and utilize corporate finance advisory skills to advise corporate debt issuers on optimal financing and refinancing opportunities
Assist the debt capital markets team in the execution of their day-to-day functions
Assist in preparing thought leadership content, preparing and joining client pitches and presentations, preparing market updates, and providing client and live deal support
Conduct economic/financial research
Prepare financial analyses and modeling to assess overall client, industry, and market trends
Work closely with senior leadership and all department heads to ensure strong performance towards financial metrics and other related business KPIs.
Who Should Apply & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree with significant knowledge of Finance & Accounting
Experience: Prior 2-4 years of full-time experience preferred in investment banking, capital markets, corporate financial planning & analysis, or corporate finance.
Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint with proficiency in Bloomberg or programming as a plus
Candidates who are resourceful and have a natural curiosity for how things work, a tenacious attitude towards research, and the ability to think independently
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Ability to work through multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines
