Whiteshell Cottagers association sent a policy paper to the National Energy Board on the proposed Energy East pipeline through the park, has partnered with Recycle Everywhere for the distribution of free bin bags, and participates with road clean ups. How important is protecting the environment to you?

The South East Whiteshell fire department is dispatched for fire, motor vehicle accidents, search & rescue, water rescue & recovery, ambulance assistance and any other necessary emergency situations. The North Whiteshell currently doesn't have 911 service or fire/rescue service. If your cottage is in the North Whiteshell, would you be willing to provide volunteer services/ time and pay approximately $100 / year extra in parks service for the Fire and Rescue initiative? * 20. Hunting is allowed in the Whiteshell Provincial Park, however it is not allowed in designated refuge & wilderness areas, cottage subdivsiions and buffer zones within 300 meters of roads and trails. How do you feel about hunting in the Whiteshell? Check all that apply.

I think the existing "no hunting zones" including the 300 meter buffer zones from roads and trails are sufficient
