World Championships of Beach Ultimate National Team Head Coach Application

USA Ultimate is very excited to continue to build out our national team program.  Due to the fact that the 2017 World Championships of Beach Ultimate has become a qualifying tournament for the 2019 Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) World Beach Games, USA Ultimate has decided to select coaches to accompany the mixed, women's and open teams.  The process for this will be a little bit backwards, as the players have already been selected for these teams by the team managers and USA Ultimate staff. Because of this, the players who were selected as team managers will be involved in the coach selection process, along with USA Ultimate staff.

Qualifications to be the coach of the World Beach Women's, World Beach Mixed, or World Beach Open National team:
- Must have an active coach level USA Ultimate membership in order to apply

- Must be USAU Level I certified or be willing to become Level I certified before the event
- Level II certification highly desired for all head coach applicants
- Must agree to the USA Ultimate National Team Coach Code of Conduct

In order to be considered, all applicants must be able to:
-  Attend the WCBU (June 18-24)

-  Pay for their own travel, housing and other expenses 

Inability to commit to all of these will result in immediate disqualification from candidacy for any 2017 World Beach coaching positions.

Head Coaches will be selected by the USA Ultimate staff, members of the USA Ultimate Coaching Committee and team managers.

World Beach Team Coaches will have a demonstrated commitment to strong character and sportsmanship and will be chosen based on the following criteria:

- Ultimate coaching experience
- Ability and willingness to work with USAU administration
- Experience with international competition

- Preference will be given to coaches with beach experience
