Recognize the pathophysiology and clinical implications of pulmonary hypertension in surgical patients and apply evidence-based strategies for preoperative optimization.
Develop intraoperative anesthetic plans that protect RV function, avoid increases in pulmonary vascular resistance, and respond effectively to acute RV decompensation.
Implement postoperative monitoring and rescue strategies to prevent deterioration and support recovery, including escalation pathways to ICU or advanced therapies.
