Clark County Parks and Nature is beginning the design process for improvements to Orchards Community Park. Many of the structures at Orchards have reached the end of their useful service life and need to be replaced.

Responses collected through this survey will contribute to shaping the park’s design, including amenities, playground elements, theme, and more.

Inclusive Play

This project will prioritize inclusive play, which aims to remove physical and social barriers to participation and support the diverse needs of all children. Rooted in universal playground design principles and evidence-based best practices, inclusive play design goes beyond the minimum accessibility requirements.

Inclusive play incorporates features and experiences to suit a variety of ages and levels of ability, and meet a variety of needs and interests. The following questions will help guide our design of inclusive play areas in the park.
