Understanding the Experiences of Older Women in Victoria
The Workplaces for Older Women (WOW) project aims to help combat age-based discrimination for older women (60+ years) in the workplace. The project is inclusive of marginalised groups of older women who experience other forms of discrimination (such as racism, ableism, transphobia etc) alongside age-based discrimination. This confidential survey has been developed for women aged 60+ living in Victoria - to share their experiences of age related discrimination in the workplace (including ageism in job recruitment).
By sharing your experiences of age related discrimination, you will help us to better understand what to include in workplace guidelines and education to combat ageism.
The survey is confidential - we wont be able to identify you. The story you share may be included in educational resources. If the story you share identifies you in any way - we invite you to deidentify it.
The Workplaces for Older Women project is being led by Celebrate Ageing Ltd, a charity combating ageism and building respect for older people. The project is supported by the Victorian Government Department of Families, Fairness and Housing as part of their Gender Equality Action Plan.
