GROW AVL is committed to strengthening our local mental health ecosystem through collaboration, best practices, leadership, mentorship, and unceasing drive to grow as professionals. Please submit your proposal by December 15, 2019.

We would like to encourage you to write your proposal in a Microsoft Word or Google Doc and then cut and paste the content so that you can keep a copy of your submission.

* 3. An abstract describing your proposed workshop. We ask that you keep your abstract to 250 or fewer words total. We have divided the sections of the abstract for your convenience.

* 4. Please provide a description of the limitations of the proposed content, including contradictory perspectives and/or evidence. It may be helpful to think about your audience, particularly audience members who may have a different perspective, training or viewpoint. We also encourage you to think about research or data that would suggest an alternate perspective.

* 5. A program-ready description of your proposed workshop, written in third person (80-90 words), for the conference brochure. We may edit your description for consistency. Please indicate whether the content is beginner, intermediate, or advanced learners.

* 8. We ask for three recent citations (within the last 10 years) from the academic or professional literature that provide empirical support for your program. Please do not include newsletter or magazine articles, or links to websites. (Note: Some of boards may require citations to offer CE units. Your proposal may be considered without answering this question, but it may not be eligible for continuing education for some attendees.)

* 10. One important difference about GROW AVL is our commitment to continuing mentorship and learning beyond the conference itself. How will you be willing to continue educating the mental health community? Possibilities include: group mentorship, group supervision, individual supervision, individual mentorship, peer-led interest group, online discussion group, etc.
