At Blyth Town Council, we want our services and future objectives to reflect what people value in everyday life.
For 2026/27, the Council has budgeted around £1.65million to provide and support local services. A Band D household pays £135.32 a year to Blyth Town Council through council tax. That is about £2.60 a week.
We want to know whether this feels like fair value, which services matter most, what you would improve and what would make the biggest difference next.
Blyth is served by more than one council. Northumberland County Council delivers many county-wide services, including household waste collection, social care and most roads. Blyth Town Council looks after local things such as play areas, allotments, public seating, bus shelters, community grants and events. Some work is done together with Northumberland County Council, for instance we pay Northumberland County Council for extra time on some of their services in Blyth e.g. environmental enforcement, weed control, street cleansing.
This survey focuses on where Blyth Town Council can deliver, support, influence or raise an issue with others. Please still tell us about anything that matters to you. It helps us see the bigger picture.
