2022 Interest Form

With support from CSforCLE and Cleveland State University, TECH CORPS will offer Student WEB CORPS, Student TECH CORPS and ITonRAMP+ to CSMD students at various locations throughout Cleveland.  
Deadline to apply is March 4th.  All students who are interested must fill out the YOU application ASAP.

Student WEB CORPS Learn and Earn is a summer work-based learning experience for students, in grades 11 and 12. The experience is designed to strengthen students’ web development, project management and professionalism skills and to apply those skills in the authentic task of building a website for a mock business. Student-employees will work in project-teams of four, supported by one TECH CORPS instructor, a site coordinator, and a mock client (industry volunteer). Student WEB CORPS will be comprised of 50 students and will meet at Cleveland State University.
Student TECH CORPS Learn and Earn is a six week summer work based learning experience for students in grade 11 and 12. Student TECH CORPS® delivers tech support training and industry-recognized certification to high school students and then harnesses their knowledge to power a Student-Run Help Desk to provide valuable technical support in their school buildings or communities.
Student TECH CORPS will be available to 25 CMSD students at MCPc/STAD 4371 Pearl Road, Cleveland Ohio 44109.
ITonRAMP+ Learn and Earn is a summer work based learning experience.
IT On Ramp+ is a full-day, four-week experience designed to elevate students’ mathematical understanding and confidence in algebra and geometry through hands-on lessons focused on a variety of computing topics including app development, game design, software development, and web development. Through exposure, exploration and project design, this program seeks to provide students with a deeper awareness of technology pathways and prepare them for greater success in technology programs in high school and beyond.  ITonRAMP+ is designed for 25 students going into the 9th grade in the Fall of 2022.THESE OPPORTUNITIES ARE ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
  • Attend school within the Cleveland Metropolitan School District or East Cleveland School District.
  • Will be enrolled in the 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the Fall of 2022( depending on program).

Student Selection Process:
Students will be accepted to participate in the program on a first come, first serve basis in addition to completing the Youth Opportunities Unlimited Application process! The deadline to apply is March 4th.  
Students will earn an hourly rate of $8.80-10.00 an hour, depending on students age.  Students and families will need to provide their social security card and identification card as well as family income, to Youth Opportunities Unlimited.  If you or a family member need to obtain these documents, now is a great time to start!
