Join the AYCO Hup Squad
DEADLINE for applying is January 1st, 2021!
The AYCO Hup Squad is a group of super cool, circus obsessed teens. The Squad designs and creates content such as reviews, interviews, and articles for the AYCO CircusIsMyLife blog and AYCOgrams, and advises on swag for youth members and AYCO's social media presence. Hup Squad members receive special Hup Squad Swag, access to interview professional artists, and opportunities to see and review performances and events. Being on the Squad means you get both the prestige of being a national youth circus leader and a built-in peer community to support your developing leadership. The Hup Squad works with Claire Dehm, AYCO's Program Coordinator.
Hup Squad members are chosen by AYCO to be on this national youth action team because they are young leaders with a strong commitment to and involvement with circus in their own communities and beyond.
We're looking for young circus leaders with oodles of creativity and motivation, strong writing skills, and reliability. (Specifically youth ages 13 -18, but if you think you’ve got what it takes, then go for it!)
Requirements: Squad members must be members of AYCO (or join us when accepted) and are expected to devote 5 hours per month to the squad for one year. Members are expected to check their email at least once per week for squad updates.
Note - Youth under 18 must fill out the application with their parent/guardian. Both youth and their parent/guardian will always be contacted regarding all Hup Squad business!
