We are pleased to inform you that the next Partnership Engagement Network (PEN) Conference will be held on Wednesday 4th June from 6-8pm.

This will be a hybrid event, giving you the choice of either attending in person at the George Hatton Hall, Dukinfield Town Hall, King Street, SK16 4LA or online through Microsoft Teams.

During the Conference you will have the opportunity to hear about and give your views on the following projects.

Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy for 2025-2030
We are seeking your views on Tameside’s draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy for 2025-2030.
The Homelessness Act 2002 requires local housing authorities to take strategic responsibility for tackling and preventing homelessness. Tameside Council’s approach is set out in this draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy.
We have undertaken a thorough review of homelessness in Tameside and used its findings to shape this draft strategy. Our strategy sets out how we aim to prevent and reduce homelessness in Tameside and provide support to those affected by it.
Our vision is that over the lifetime of the strategy, and through cooperation with stakeholders, communities, and decision makers, we can work towards making homelessness in all its forms rare, brief, and non-recurrent in Tameside.
Social Housing Allocations policy
Following a recent review, Tameside Council has decided to carry out revisions to its housing allocation scheme.
This will involve making amendments to its housing waiting list, housing allocation policy and approach to offering choice.
The views of people on the housing waiting list, social housing tenants and anyone else interested in the allocation of social housing, including providers of social housing, are being sought prior to any changes being finalised.
