2021 has been another tough year around the globe and as PNG looks ahead to a hopefully much more optimistic 2022 PNG Report would like to hear from readers about their short and medium term predictions for business conditions, with a focus on the resources sector.

What is the outlook for the PNG mining sector for 2022?

Very positive - many opportunities and good signs for an upsurge in activity

Positive - some good news likely but nothing spectacular

Neutral - no major change coming, any positives will be offset by negatives

Negative - despite some positive signs in 2021, this will not continue into 2022

What are the prospects for upstream energy projects in PNG in 2022?

Very positive - the recent talks are an important milestone and more positives will follow

Positive - overall there are good signs but still plenty of caution required
