The Mideastern Region Friend of Education Award was established in 2002. This award is bestowed upon an individual or organization whose leadership, acts, or support has significantly benefited education, education employees, or students in the Mideastern region. Some of the past recipients include a state representative, a state senator, a public radio personality, and several community leaders.
Traditionally this award was given at the Spring MER House of Delegates. The last award was given in 2018. Please note the following guidelines:
1) Nominations can be made by any active member of PSEA.
2) The nominee must not be an active or retired member of PSEA.
3) The award will be given at the Spring MER HOD.
4) Nominations will be submitted to the MER Executive Board who will select the recipient. The award does not have to be given every year.
