Peer Support Volunteer Directory
We frequently get requests from our parents for direct referrals to other children, between the ages of 7- 12 years of age, who have had a similar experience. In response to these requests, the Hydrocephalus Association has created a Pen Pal Program called HydrocephalusConnect : Journey with Me! Pen Pal Program– a direct way for our members to ‘link up’ with others in similar circumstances.
The PURPOSE of the directory is to provide our parents with direct access to other children coping with the complexities of hydrocephalus.
The GOAL is to develop a nationwide network of children supporting one another, sharing information and strategies which enable them to become educated, empowered advocates.
Here is how it works. Complete the following questionnaire, keeping in mind that any information you provide will be accessible to all HA Staff and will be shared with parents given your preferred method of communication.
We strive to make sure everyone with similar experience as your loved one will experience a compassionate touch by other peers. Please complete all questions.
