Survey on Academic detailing

Purpose: to explore whom primary care practices prefer as an academic detailer

Objective: get enough NYSAFP responses to describe by whom FPs wish to be detailed

Goal:
(1) Facilitate access of detailers to practices,  (2)  Support uptake and referrals to the National Diabetes Prevention Program [NDPP] and chronic disease self management [CDSM] programs by communities and individuals, (3)       Stimulate grant funding of the academic detailing [AD] process

Academic detailing is an educational method designed purposefully to facilitate better patient outcomes by making care you provide easier and more effective.

Detailing usually occurs through visits to the practice environment, where it is easier for learners and detailers to connect outcomes to real conditions and delivery implementation.  Academic detailing should be time efficient, engaging, and trustworthy.
