Lili‘uokalani Trust, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and Kamehameha Schools’ Strategy & Transformation Group are collaborating to conduct this survey to better understand and represent Native Hawaiian and other resident’s opinions of Hawai‘i’s economy. We hope to gain insights on:

  • your economic experiences before the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on you and your ‘ohana (family); and
  • what you envision as Hawai’i’s economic future, post-COVID-19.
 
We highly encourage all community members to spend a few minutes to complete this survey, as your feedback may be widely shared to help guide the development of Hawai’i’s economy.

This survey will take 15-20 minutes. It will be left open so you can complete it multiple times, up to once a week, if your opinions change.


Voluntary Participation:
  Your participation in this survey is voluntary. If you prefer not to answer a question, you may skip that question or, if the question requires an answer, select "Choose not to answer". If you prefer not to complete the survey, you can close the browser to disregard the survey. 

Privacy and Confidentiality:  This collaboration intends to make the results of the survey broadly available to the public, but this will not include any information that could personally identify you. All data collected will only be used in combination with other individuals who respond and will only be reported in summary tables in reports and publications. All data will be kept confidential and in a secure database. Authorized research specialists from the Lili‘uokalani Trust, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Kamehameha Schools’ Strategy & Transformation Group, and Hawaiʻi Leadership Forum may review research records but individual records will never be shared or released publicly. At the conclusion of the survey, you will be asked if you would like to provide your name and contact information. This information is also optional and will only be used to extend an invitation to further discussion on your experienced and hopes for the future. Your identify information will not attached to any other information you provided in the survey.
Benefits and Risks:  The results of this survey will help in advocating for a post-COVID economy that reflects Native Hawaiian communities’ perspectives, values, and needs. There are no direct benefits or risks to you personally from taking this survey.
