Nonprofit Compensation Survey 2026

Introduction

The Consulting Statistician is administering this biennial nonprofit compensation survey on behalf of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. This spring, the organizations that respond to this survey will receive a 2026 Jackson Hole Nonprofit Compensation Report based on the data collected.

The person at your organization who is best able to answer budget and compensation-related questions should complete this 30-minute survey. This is typically the Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, or equivalent staff member. Alternatively, it may be your Board Chair or Treasurer. Local chapters of regional or national nonprofits should provide local budget numbers only.

While your organization’s name is required in order to facilitate distribution of the final report, your answers will be combined with those of all other respondents from your area to create a broad statistical overview of data from Jackson Hole. Your individual responses are confidential and will not be linked to your organization. The Consulting Statistician collects and analyzes survey data; the Community Foundation only sees nonprofit responses in the aggregate.

In addition to compensation-related questions, this year’s survey includes two brief, optional sections:
  1. Professional service provider recommendations - pertains to local nonprofits’ recommendations of professional service providers and software. Responses will benefit peer organizations and help the Community Foundation better respond to inquiries of this nature.
  2. Impact and outreach feedback – requests for feedback related to nonprofit impact and outreach programming delivered by the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. Responses to this section are reviewed solely by The Consulting Statistician. The aggregated data will be used to inform ongoing improvements and optimization of Community Foundation programs. The Community Foundation looks forward to sharing the data this spring. The 2026 Jackson Hole Nonprofit Compensation Report will be available only to participating organizations.
