Residential Awards

Selah Downtown Association recognizes downtown business and property owners, developers, community groups and neighborhood advocates for their exemplary improvement, maintenance and upkeep of properties and their work to build a greater sense of community in downtown Selah. What to consider for Residential Award nominations:
1.  Landscaping design
2.  Building architecture
3.  Unique outdoor elements
4.  Maintenance
5.  Inclusion of environmentally sustainable practices
6.  Neighborhood context
7.  Incorporation of creative or artistic pieces
 
Nominations must include:
1.  Location/address of the nominated property
2.  Property owner name(s), if known
3.  Reason for nomination (be specific!)
 
NOTE:  Properties must be located along the "First Street Corridor" and in the "downtown" area. This area spans from Southern Avenue, north to Bartlett Avenue, west to 3rd Street, and east to Railroad Avenue.

* 1. Category:  Residential, Single-Family

The Single-Family, Residential Award recognizes a home that contributes to the beautification of the city through landscaping, architecture and/or "green," sustainable practices.

* 2. Category: Residential, Multi-Family

The Multi-Family, Residential Award recognizes a multi-family property (duplex, triplex, etc.) or apartment complex that contributes to the beautification of the city through landscaping, architecture and/or "green," sustainable practices.

Typically, the property owner or management company will be recognized. However, in special cases, an individual tenant may be recognized for their efforts to improve a residential complex that significantly contributes to the beautification of the city.
