The YMCA is the largest provider of non-profit regulated child care in Canada. YMCA Child Care and Camp programs support families and foster the healthy growth and development of children. Our programs help children to build self-confidence, learn healthy behaviours, and develop strong values. We currently offer: Pre-Kindergarten, summer and holiday day camps, and regulated child care for infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age children.
The YMCA is exploring operating a regulated child care service in the proposed Clarenville Regional Wellness Centre. YMCA child care programs typically operate Monday to Friday in the mornings and afternoons with meals and nutritious snacks included. The YMCA would propose to operate under the $10/day funding program.
