The Texas Reskilling and Upskilling for Education (TRUE) Institutional Capacity Grant gives students affected by COVID-19 an opportunity to receive funding to earn skills and a credential in high-demand fields. 

Your replies will remain confidential and will not be individually released to any party or agency outside the college without your express permission. 
 
Scholarship recipients will be notified by January 11, 2022 by email.
 
Previous scholarship recipients MAY apply and are eligible to be considered for additional scholarship funding.

* 1. Before you begin, please read and understand the following statements:
  • Applicants must be a resident of Texas and able to provide documentation such a drivers license, utility bill, lease agreement, mortgage statement, credit card statement, current bank statement or other similar document providing proof of Texas residency.
  • You must be willing to sign a statement affirming that COVID-19 has affected you.
  • You must be willing to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Texas Application for Student Financial Aid (TASFA). We will help you with this! 
  • Training programs are instructed as a hybrid. Lectures and coursework are online and skills labs are face to face.  A laptop or desktop computer and reliable internet is required.
  • Unanswered questions on this survey will immediately disqualify applicants.
  • Scholarship recipients will be required to complete a 8-hour, hybrid Workforce Skills and Job Search course PRIOR to beginning their training program. If not completed, any prior offer for a scholarship will be void.
  • If you have an outstanding balance at Grayson College you will not be enrolled in the training program until the balance is resolved.
  • If possible, during this application please be prepared to upload your immunization record to this application as required for CNA, CMA, EMT,  PCT, and Phlebotomy training program enrollment.
