Put the Community Back into Jelleff Community Center!
Jelleff has a capital improvement budget of $7,000,000 approved by the DC City Council to bring the building up to ADA compliance and ensure a new HVAC system is installed. What do we want out of a modernized Jelleff Community Center as far as space goes? A basketball court, a multi-purpose gymnasium, a test kitchen, party rooms, an auditorium/stage, meeting rooms, fitness/movement facilities? The modernized building will allow for expanded programming so we have asked a few questions about that too. The purpose of this survey is to collect feedback from residents in the neighborhood where the community center is based about how the Jelleff Community Center can best serve the Georgetown and Burleith community. The information gathered will then be synthesized and shared with those city agencies which will make the decision about overall budgeting and, ultimately, final development of the center.
