We are so pleased that you're thinking about running for a student leader position on the Madison College Student Senate!  It is a great opportunity and responsibility to represent the voices of tens of thousands of students.  Elected student leaders contribute ideas and energy, making positive changes at Madison College each year.  It is a huge learning opportunity, and is very marketable on transfer, internship, and job applications.

Please note that portions of this application will be used to create a "Candidate Profile" which may be published in The Clarion student newspaper, and will be linked to the online ballot so that voters will be informed about their selections.

  • Currently enrolled in 6 degree-credit courses at Madison College
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (unless this is your first semester at Madison College)

General Responsibilities
  • Actively participates in General Assembly meetings, committee meetings, Shared Governance Councils, work groups, and Senate sponsored events
  • Meets with students expressing concerns, and follows through to find solutions or resources
  • Completes weekly service hours related to Senate business
  • Actively seeks input from students in order to represent student concerns accurately
