This year AAPHP has 4 positions open for the following roles:
- President
- President- Elect
- Faculty Board Member
- Student Board Member
All nominees institutions need to be a member program of AAPHP. Some benefits generated from participating on the AAPHP Executive Board are visibility of one’s own program, networking with other member programs, increasing awareness of what is happening regarding CEPH accreditation and standards, and gaining insight into other approaches to elements of PH education that may benefit the home program.
Descriptions of position duties are provided below:
President: The duties of the president include to convene the Association, provide leadership to the Executive Board, chair meetings of the Board after developing the agenda, help guide and mediate Board actions with respect to organizations priorities and governance concerns, and represent the Association.
President Elect: The duties of the President-Elect include to perform the duties of the President when the President is not available and to assist the President in completing duties.
Faculty Board Member: The duties of the Faculty Board Member include to attend Board meetings and other meetings of the Association, volunteer for assignments, stay informed about Board matters, represent the interests of member programs, and chair or participate on committees.
Student Board Member: The duties of the Student Board Member include to attend Board meetings, volunteer for assignments, stay informed about Board matters, chair or participate on committees, represent the interests of students from member programs. and build the connection between AAPHP and students.
