The Parent's Association is a fundraising, social, and support organization for our school. The PA is tasked with raising $70,000 to contribute a portion of the school's budget. But, we also have many FUNraising events throughout the year with the goal of getting families together to socialize and raise school spirit!  All parents are automatically members of the PA and are encouraged to participate in the activities throughout the school year.

We have many fun events planned for this year, some of which are listed below. We are seeking many volunteers and leads for some events to help coordinate our activities. Please indicate your interest in volunteering for the events below. Please note that this is just an initial interest form. If you indicate an interest in an event, you will be contacted with additional details about the event and your contribution.

All families are required to complete 12 PA volunteer hours throughout the year to ensure that our fundraising efforts and events are a success! All volunteers must be VIRTUS trained before serving as a volunteer.

With thanks - Mrs. Meizoso and Mrs. Gonder

FALL CATALOG FUNDRAISER - WINTER WONDERLAND [Chair: Mrs. Butler / Co-Chair: TBD]
September 23 - October 13

This is our first mandatory fundraiser of the year. The catalog has wrapping paper, magazines, holiday items, and much more! Each family is required to make at least one purchase from the catalog.

Volunteers are needed to help distribute merchandise to students when purchases are delivered to the school. Distribution will occur over a few hours during the school day in November. An exact date will be shared when available. We are also looking for someone to help chair this event. This would involve communicating with the vendor, assisting with tracking and documenting sales, collecting money, and serving as the point person for questions.

September 27, November 29, February 28, April 24

We are looking for someone to chair this event. This involves finding local restaurants willing to participate, securing a date, coordinating with the site on advertising and sales, and (preferably) being present the night of the event.

BAKE SALES - [Chair: TBD]
October 14/15 and February 3/4

We have two bake sales each year, to contribute to expenses for our Pancake Breakfast and Night at the Races Fundraisers. Baked goods are sold after all masses on those weekends.  Families can earn one volunteer hour for baking. Many volunteers are needed to prepare and price items, set-up at the church, and to help sell after masses.

We are also looking for someone to chair our bake sales. The chair would oversee the collection of baked goods (typically on Friday before the sale), prepare and price items, set-up the sale at the church before 5:00 mass on Saturday, organize volunteers, and oversee the sale after all masses.

PAINT NIGHT / PARENT'S NIGHT OUT [CHAIR - TBD]
November 17 / May 17

These are adult-only events. In past years, we have painted decorative boards, porch signs, glassware, canvases, beach glass, etc.  We try to select new crafting activities each year. Participants are encouraged to get a table with friends and bring snacks and beverages to share. Rather than having two paint nights this year, we are hoping to keep our fall paint night and plan a different parent's night out event in the spring.

We need a few volunteers for these events to help with set-up and clean-up. We are also looking for someone to chair these events. For Paint Night, the chair would be responsible for selecting a company and craft (we have several companies that we have worked with in the past), coordinating with the company to plan the event, tracking participant sign-ups, and organizing the set-up / clean-up on the night of the event. For Parent's Night Out, we are looking for new ideas and/or venues to involve more families and enjoy a different type of activity.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST WITH SANTA [CHAIR - Mrs. Iannelli]
December 3

This is our largest fundraiser of the year! This tradition has been with Holy Family for over 30 years. We have three, hour-long seatings and host over 1,000 people. Family and friends have a delicious breakfast (cooked by HF parents...mostly dads!) and get a treat from a special visitor. We also have many fabulous raffle baskets. It's a great way to start the holiday season.

We need MANY volunteers to help with this event. We need volunteers to solicit donations for raffle baskets, make baskets, decorate and prepare the day before the event, sell raffles at the event, cook pancakes, clean-up, etc. This year, we are also looking for a volunteer to chair the raffle baskets. This involves soliciting donations from local businesses, collecting (and possibility storing) basket items, and coordinating the basket making process. Please note that this is a SIGNIFICANT undertaking as we typically have 100 baskets filled with amazing gift cards and products!
