Thank you for your interest in the Homelessness Policy Fellowship! This 1-year, full-time fellowship program (July 2018 – June 2019) will place 5 recent graduates with advanced degrees in public agencies and offices working to prevent and end homelessness in LA County. Fellows will be embedded on current teams and will engage directly in homeless systems projects related to policy and planning. The Homelessness Policy Fellowship is a truly unique opportunity for recent graduates to work with top public sector systems leaders and local public leadership while gaining firsthand experience tackling one of LA’s most challenging and critical issues – homelessness.
We are excited to announce that the following public sector partners were awarded the opportunity to host a Homelessness Policy Fellow from July 2018 - June 2019:
  • City of Pasadena
  • Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health
  • Office of Los Angeles City Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson
  • Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas
  • Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl
The deadline to apply is April 1 but United Way will begin reviewing applications as submitted. Please be aware that if selected, all final candidates will be subject to a background check by the public agency/office. Additionally, travel throughout Los Angeles County will be required for most fellowship placements.

We are very excited to review your application and get to know you! If you would like to learn more about the fellowship program, please visit: homeforgoodla.org/grantseekers. For any questions regarding the fellowship or the application process, please email rfp@unitedwayla.org
