Introduction
The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) plays the critical role of reviewing every local Housing Element from across the state to determine compliance with state housing laws.
After each Housing Element planning cycle, HCD conducts an external Housing Element Working Group to assess and improve current business processes, tools and resources, policy interpretations, and potential legislative proposals in preparation for the next cycle.
The purpose of this survey is to solicit feedback on key components of the Housing Element and how HCD can better support local jurisdictions in completing their Housing Element updates.
This survey consists of four topic areas including 1.) Process Improvements and Public Engagement, 2.) Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing, 3.) Sites Inventory and Analysis, and 4.) Other Comments and Suggestions. It is estimated to take 10-15 minutes to complete. To begin, please start by providing your name and the organization you represent below.
